Introduction

Corhib WB is a concentrate film-forming, water-soluble corrosion inhibitor designed for the prevention of corrosion in drilling equipment.Corhib WB effectively controls corrosion in systems containing CO2, H2S, organic acid, and brines. It is a mixture of several filming compounds and is effective in the corrosion protection of drilling equipment. This inhibitor does not impart emulsification tendencies Corhib WB corrosion inhibitor is a filming amine corrosion inhibitor that physically and chemically absorbs on metal to help protect it from hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and oxygen corrosion.

Corhib WB corrosion inhibitor can be used in a fluid system. It is suitable for all brine and water-based drilling fluid systems. When used in a fluid system,Corhib WB corrosion inhibitor is most effective as a slug treatment. Corhib WB corrosion inhibitor is particularly useful to help protect meat surfaces in air, mist, and foam drilling operations

Applications

Inhibits hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide or oxygen corrosion attack of surfaces Protects drill pipe in the hole when used as slug treatment.

Inhibits the formation of corrosion cells in air, foam or mist drilling, low-solids, and weighted drilling fluids.

Advantages

• Typical dosage rates are between 15-40 ppm depending on the severity of the corrosive system. Mix quickly with oil and/or solvents.
• Helps provide an effective corrosion inhibitor for all water-based drilling fluids.

• Solubilizes in oil allowing for efficient and even application of inhibitors.
• Helps maintain stability at temperatures above 300-F (149-C).

Packaging and Storage

Corhib WB is packaged in 220 Li drums. Customized packaging is also available on request.

Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames. Keep containers closed. Other normal precautions for processing chemicals apply.

Material Compatibility

Avoid contact with strong oxidizers (eg. chlorine, peroxides, chromates, nitric acid, phosphoric, nitric, hydrochloric, chromic, sulfonic).

Corhib WB is compatible with High-density polyethylene, polypropylene, and stainless steel. Copper, aluminum, and their alloys are not recommended.

Shelf Life

Corhib WB has a shelf life of at least one year from the date of manufacture when stored in the original sealed containers in a cool and dry place.

Safety and Handling

Corhib WB does not get in the eyes, on the skin, or on clothing. Do not take it internally. Do not breathe vapors/gases/dust. Keep the containers closed when not in use. The use of rubber gloves and protective goggles is compulsory. Do not inhale vapours. In case of contact, wash immediately with water and change contaminated clothing.
