Corhib OB. Corrosion Inhibitor

Introduction

Corrosion Inhibitor (OB) is an oil-soluble, slightly water-dispersible, film-forming organic amine. It effectively protects the Drill String by forming a tough, persistent film on metal surfaces. Corrosion Inhibitor (Oil Soluble) protects steel equipment by adsorbing onto surfaces, forming a filming barrier to corrosive conditions. Corrosion Inhibitor (OB) effectively controls corrosion in systems containing CO2, H2S, organic acids, and brines and its most applicable when severely corrosive conditions are anticipated, such as when utilizing air drilling techniques or in the presence of carbon dioxide or hydrogen sulfide gases.

Applications

  • Protects drill pipe in the hole when used as a slug treatment.
  • Inhibits the formation of carbon dioxide or hydrogen sulfide on metal surfaces.
  • Inhibits corrosion in drill string equipment.

Advantages

  • Reduces the potential the corrosion in air, mist, foam, or aerated mud drillings.
  • Helps to protect drill string with the persistent amine film which can against carbon dioxide orHydrogen sulfide corrosion.
  • Effective in small concentrations.
  • Temperature stable and functional to the temperature of more than 300 -F (149-C)

Packing and Storage

Corrosion Inhibitor (OB) is packaged in 220 Li drums. Customized packaging is also available on request. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames. Keep containers closed. Other normal precautions for processing chemicals apply.

Shelf Life

Corrosion Inhibitor (OB) has a shelf life of at least one year from the date of manufacture when stored in the original sealed containers in a cool and dry place.

Safety and Handling

Corrosion Inhibitor (OB) Do not get in eyes, on skin, on clothing. Do not take it internally. Do not breathe vapors/gases/dust. Keep the containers closed when not in use. The use of rubber gloves and protective goggles is compulsory. Do not inhale vapours. In case of contact, wash immediately with water and change contaminated clothing
